Morocco’s futsal team won the Arab Cup for the 3rd time in a row, following their victory over Kuwait (7-1) at the seventh edition of the Arab Futsal Cup held in Jeddah.
Shortly after the end of the game Friday, King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to the members of the national futsal team for winning, for the third time in a row, the Arab Futsal Cup.
This victory once again confirms the achievements of Moroccan soccer, with its different types and categories, at various regional, continental, and international sporting events, the King emphasized in his message.
The King who expressed his pride for this latest achievement, which is the outcome of the efforts made by the members of the team, as well as all the technical and administrative staff of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), noted that these efforts are motivated by patriotism and a strong determination to continue honoring the national game and raising the Moroccan flag high in international competitions.
The Sovereign wished the members of the national team every success on the road to winning more titles, while assuring them of his high solicitude and benevolence.
The Moroccan team had dominated, from start to finish, the matches in Pool B, getting the better of the Comoros Islands (5-0), Lebanon (6-0) and Kuwait (4-2).
Morocco then ousted Saudi Arabia (5-2) in the quarter-finals, before defeating Libya (5-1) in the semi-finals.
The 7th edition of the Arab Futsal Cup brought together teams from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Algeria, Palestine, Mauritania, Comoros, and Tajikistan.
