Barcelona – The Indonesian delegation performed well and received enthusiastic participants at the International North Africa and Europa Energy Conference in Barcelona, Spain, 13-16 March 2023.
The event, which brought together international oil and gas investors, was attended by an Indonesian delegation consisting of Erwin Suryadi, SKK Migas Vice President, Irawan Josodipuro, Pertamina Hulu Mahakam Project Senior Engineer, Pertamina Sub Holding Senior Analyst, Andre Coudilo, SKK Migas local content specialist and Noor Wibawa , R & D Technical Support Manager of Luas Biru Utama and Kelvin Octavianus Djohan, Engineering Manager of Valve Engineering Technology to tell the success of domestic development to European and African governments and business people.
Vice President of SKK Migas, Erwin Suryadi who is also Chair of the SKK Migas National Capacity Forum Task Force Team, said that the presence of the Indonesian delegation showed international confidence in the hard work that had been done by SKK Migas and PSC Contractors as well as domestic manufacturers in carrying out government mandates related to domestic industrial empowerment.
“At this Conference we explain national capacity building with collaboration between the government in this case SKK Migas-KKKS and investors,” said Erwin Suryadi who appeared as a speaker at the strategic North Africa and Europa Energy Conference sessions.
According to Erwin, the success of delivering the national capacity program to the international level shows international confidence in the hard work that has been done by SKK Migas and PSC Contractors as well as domestic manufacturers in carrying out government mandates related to empowering the domestic industry.
“We want to show that SKK Migas and PSC Contractors have done what President Jokowi expected, regarding the use of local products,” said Erwin.
On this occasion, the delegation of the National Capacity Forum introduced eight local products whose entire process was guided and evaluated by the Subject Matter Expert (SME) from SKK Migas and PSC Contractors.
Furthermore, the products that have been successfully fostered also receive support from the government through SKK Migas so that these products become one of the best and international class products in Asia.
In addition to the product innovation itself, this session also noted that there had been a very significant increase in the multiplier effect in the last 4 years, where apart from the addition of workers there were also additional domestic companies that became suppliers of these companies.
In the technical session, it was presented about SKK Migas’ efforts to encourage research conducted by business entities in order to increase Indonesia’s level of technology to reduce CO2 emissions by converting them into products that can be useful while supporting the decarbonization program launched by the Indonesian government.
This technical presentation is very important because without appropriate technology, it will be difficult for domestic companies to be able to support the success of the decarbonization program.
This activity was attended by government representatives from several countries in Africa and also Europe. Apart from representatives from these countries, representatives from the Indonesian Embassy in Spain were also present, represented by the Head of the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), namely Freddy Josep Pelawi.
On this occasion, Freddy conveyed support and support to the Indonesian delegation who attended the NAEPEC 2023 event. In the future, it is hoped that Renewable Energy can be produced in Indonesia and can be of benefit to the whole world.
